Formerly known as Creative Edge (established in 2007), the expanded business was relaunched in 2015 as Craft Coaching and Development. We consult to creative business owners and entrepreneurs, providing bespoke leadership development and small business mentoring.
Using creativity as our guiding principle, we work one-on-one with our clients to identify and enhance their skills to lead their businesses and reach their personal goals. Coaching is available worldwide, and is delivered in person in Australia or via teleconference.
Every mentoring relationship is tailored to the individual or organisation—it’s constructive, supportive and built to last.
We utilise the diagnostic tools and business support usually only available in corporate environments to empower our small business clients, helping them assess their strengths, create opportunities and foster collaboration in their organisation, industry and wider community.

A transformative business mentor, Ami Summers has a gift for empowering her clients to reach their full potential. With 13 years experience as a leadership development consultant and as a Certified Coach (Mentor Coach), Ami is accredited in a number of diagnostic tools including the MSCEIT (Langley Group) and the LSI/GSI (Human Synergistics), and has studied a Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She utilises a strengths-based philosophy to provide valuable outcomes for individuals and organisations. She has coached hundreds of executive leaders, small business owners and individuals across her career, alongside owning and leading multiple small businesses herself. She is a board member and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
Originally qualified as a visual artist, Ami paints and exhibits her artwork regularly. This unique intersection of the creative and the corporate has enabled her to identify the value of embodying creativity within the traditional business model—her creative mind has been crucial to her success as an innovative leadership coach. She prides herself on bridging the gap between the entrepreneurial world and the corporate sector to bring impactful tools and methodology to practical small business application.
Ami is particularly passionate about uplifting other women in the entrepreneurial space, which has lead to a six-year involvement in National Women’s Leadership Program Compass with Dattner Grant. The Program has helped more than 1000 women across Australia reach new levels of leadership success. Ami’s focus on empowering women extends into the Not for Profit space via her contribution as a Board Member for Gippsland Centre for Sexual Assault for over five years.
Underpinning all of these efforts is a strong philanthropic mindset—for Ami, its about being purpose-driven, not profit-driven, and working together to make better decisions for the future. She firmly believes that having more creative people running purpose-led businesses will have a positive impact on the world.

Elicia is a high level Executive Assistant with 20 years’ experience in the areas of secretarial, administration, EA/PA, staff & client management and project co-ordination. She also has experience in travel and hospitality and has worked within often challenging and fast-paced corporate environments including Ombudsman schemes, Registered Training Organisations, and Leadership Development. Elicia understands the complexities of running a small business as she runs her own business Elite Virtual Assistance.

Julia is a highly experienced brand marketing, graphic design and PR expert with more than 15 years of creative experience and a Masters in Marketing. With five years under her belt as a graphic designer, she cut her marketing teeth working for the Gold Coast Marathon, then moved on to NAB in a brand management role where she managed an internal brand, followed by a valuable stint in-house with a creative agency in Sydney.
Julia’s business Amadeus Brand is a branding and graphic design agency based in Sydney. Amadeus Brand’s sweet spot is to help small businesses find their unique brand voice so that they can connect with their audience, win business and maximise potential. Julia helps to ensure Craft’s brand, website and other design materials are beautifully presented and executed, and often services our clients with their branding and creative too.
